Why all Bloggers Should Focus on List Building

List building is described in this post and my goal is to help you understand the importance of doing this one thing as you write killer content for your readers.

You have probably heard it a thousand times about how the money is in your list and the need of building one.

But do you really see the value in this for your Blog?

Why Affiliate Marketers Should Focus on List Building

Let’s say you are an affiliate marketer – someone who promotes a product for another person or company and receives a commission for every sale.

You decide to promote a specific product that will provide a nice income for your efforts. You love the product and decide to set up a website dedicated to just this one topic.

Next you spent time promoting this product all over the place and make lots of sales. All you focus on is driving traffic to your affiliate link.

One morning you wake up to find that your affiliate payments have stopped coming in. You contact the company only to be told that they have stopped using affiliates. Or they are not selling that product anymore.

Your income stream has disappeared over night. Even though you may have sold hundreds of products to happy customers you have no idea who they are.

Nor do you know how to connect with them in the future.

You did not understand the importance of list building.

Why All Bloggers Should Focus on List Bulding

Just using the above example alone should clue you in on why you need to build a list even as a blogger.

Think about all the people that visit your blog each day and you’re not even trying to get them on your list.  Remember once they leave you may never get them back again.

But, if you start building a list you could email them every time you created a new blog post.

You may even create your own product about blogging such as an e-book or special report.  These things are excellent to share with your email list.

Is it all starting to make sense now what all bloggers should build a list?

If you liked this post about why all bloggers should build a list then share this with your social friends.
